The new Bingo list has been ready for a while now. Please obtain one from your VP at practices.  We still need ONE more Bingo Leader.  If anyone is interested, please let us know.  

LOS ANGELES

LA TRIP is firmed up and those who signed up, their flight is reserved.  Mary Mitar will update everyone on this matter.

Thank you to Sonya Kellner, Lydia Kellner, Michelle Ratkovic and Marijan Likarevic “Our Wedding Crashers” for taking the time out to do this fund raising event last Saturday Jan. 5th.  Job well done and your participation is very much appreciated by the odbor.  You raised $400.00 toward the LA trip.

NEW YEAR’S EVE

We did it, the event was a success!!  We raised $4,500.00 on the event.  Thank you all who came out to help decorate the hall, clean up and those who helped that night.  Also, thank you to all who came to celebrate with us!

ZELJKO SEMINAR  - FEBRUARY 9TH &  10TH   

Times for groups will be firmed up next week and we will advise you as soon as possible of your times at the Seminar.

SKI TRIP

Attached is an information sheet and questionnaire regarding Blue Mountain Ski Trip 2008, please return forms by next Monday/Tuesday so that the rooms can be firmed up.

UPCOMING 

February – (first or second Sunday – date to be confirmed next week)  ALL members are asked to come dressed in their nosnja for the Stepincevo anniversary mass at 11:00a.m.  Pictures for the Festival will be taken right after mass.

Hrvatsko Prelo has been invited to perform at St Anthony's Tamburitza and Kolo Club "Croatia" of Los Angeles mini festival (similar to our concerts) on Sunday, January 20, 2008. While this is rather short notice, and timing is not the best we would like to make the offer to everyone as this opportunity does not come along everyday. In order to get the best rates, we will need to know very quickly who is interested in going. While all groups are invited all groups going would need a minimal number of kids to enable them to perform, so we would like your quick and honest response. Note, that those who say they want to go will be contacted to meet within the week and will be asked to provide a $100 deposit. Costs are not confirmed as they greatly depend on how many are going and where we leave from, but a good estimate for flight and accommodations is $600.00 per person based on 4 person room occupancy. We are looking into flights and hotels, but those wishing to make alternate arrangements are of course welcome to do so.It was our thought that most of us travel together on Thursday evening (January 17, 2008) and get a return flight on Monday afternoon (January 21, 2008). Both the theatre and the dance will be held in San Pedro a suburb of LA. As a result we would stay within walking distance of both.

This hotel is a 5 -10 minute walk from the concert theatre and the banquet facility and has free shuttle service to both destinations and anywhere within a 5 mile radius. It is a 20 minute drive to the airport and to downtown LA. The hotel is a few minutes from the waterfront. It has a pool, fitness centre etc.

 Order forms are available at each practice.  This is the last week to place your order if you wish to receive these items before Christmas.  If we do not have the minimum required order, we will delay ordering these to a later date.

We have been invited to perform in LA at their groups Mini Festival on January 20, 2008.

§         The approximate cost of the trip will be $500 which will include flights and accommodations.

§         We were looking at leaving Thursday January 18 in the evening and returning Monday evening. Although other arrangements could be made for those who cannot stay that long or for those who wish to stay longer.

§         We have attached a questionnaire for everyone to fill out (all groups and members are invited) and return the following week December 3 or 4 so that we can see which groups (if any) have enough children interested in going to be able to perform.

              §         We will assume that those who do not return the form are NOT interested in going.
