ZELJKO SEMINAR

 

The seminar this weekend went well. Zeljko was pleased and impressed with all the groups.  The next Seminar is Friday March 7th.  Attendance is mandatory, please ensure that your schedule is free.  This will be the last seminar before our concert and the festival.

 

Sschedule:   Seniors 6:00p.m. – 6:45p.m.

Intermediates 6:45p.m. – 7:30p.m.

All (Sr. Int & YA)  7:30p.m. - 8:00p.m.

Young Adult     8:00p.m. – 10:00p.m.

 

 

PARENT’S MEETING

 

We had our parents meeting last night.  Thank you all who attended and contributed.  Minutes of the meeting will eventually be available for those who did not attend.   We have elected a new odbor with a couple of positions open:

If you were not at the parent’s meeting, please ensure you come in and view the proofs.  Order forms are attached to the pictures. Please do not take the pictures home.

 

OUR CONCERT

 

Our concert is approaching – April 26, 2008.   Tickets are now ready, please ensure you get your ticket package from your VP ASAP.

 

Sign up sheet for jobs for the event will be at each practice from now on until the week before the event.

 

Everyone’s help and co-operation is appreciated and needed.

 

FESTIVAL

 

Festival order forms are ready.  For those who did not attend the meeting, please make sure you pick up your package ASAP.

 

The Teacher’s and Zeljko’s recommendation were that the Intermediates, Seniors and YAs perform at the festival.  The issue was voted on and agreed upon at the parent’s meeting.  These 3 groups will be representing Hrvatsko Prelo at the Festival this year.

 

All groups will be performing at our annual concert, and will perform their whole choreography.   Thank you for your understanding.

STEPINCEVO/PICTURE DAY

This Sunday February 3, 2008 is STEPINCEVO.  Everyone is asked to be in Nosnje and proper footwear for the 11 o’clock mass this Sunday.  Our pictures will be taken immediately after mass.  Attendance in Nosnje is mandatory for all members as this picture will be in the Festival book and needs to be submitted to the Savez.   If for some reason you don’t have a nosnja, please let Mary Mitar or one of the nosnja coordinators know this week.

PRACTICES

We have been asked to remind you that all Prelo members wear non-marking running shoes or opanke during practices.  We have had lots of markings on the floor after our practices.  (We also had members who deliberately wrote names/words with their shoes.) 

For those who bring a bottle of water or a drink to practice, please dispose of the empty containers/cups after themselves.  Please stress to your child the importance of respecting other people’s property.  We will have our VPs monitor these issues, but would appreciate your co-operation.

SKI TRIP

Have a safe trip to all of those who are going this weekend.  All those under 16 years old traveling without a parent will need a consent form signed by the parent.  Please ensure that your consent form is in this week.

Our concert is approaching – Saturday April 26, 2008.  Tickets for the event will be handed out next week.  Attached is a table sponsor letter.  One letter is given to each family.  It is our goal that each family obtain at least one table sponsor this year.  We are also attaching a tombola letter, please try to get some prizes for the event.  If you need more copies of either letters, these are available during each practice with your VP.
