New York City Trip 

 Hrvatsko Prelo will be the guests of Hrvatska Ruza, New York, they are having a "Vecer Hrvatskog Folklora” on Saturday November 15, 2008 at 7:30pm.  They have invited our group, Chicago, a group from Los Angeles and 2 groups from New York. I know that Chicago is a definite yes. Dinner will be served for all guests prior to the concert so we need to be there by 6:00 p.m. After that, there will only be “prsut and sir” available.

Who can go:

All Prelo members can go on the trip. We will determine who performs based on which groups have enough member registered to perform. We encourage everyone to go on this trip.

Plans so far:

Transportation: 

We have rented buses to take us to New York, the per person cost is roughly $100. Proposal is to leave at about midnight on Thursday, so we arrive in New York on Friday morning. We would then depart on Sunday at around noon and get back by about 1:00 a.m.

For those who wish to fly, I have looked at group rates, Air Canada has seats leaving Toronto on Friday early morning and returning on Sunday afternoon for $400.50. We would need a minimum of 10 tickets for this. A United airways ticket from Buffalo to New York is approx. $355. I think it is best that those wanting to fly should book their own flights as it is probably less expensive that way.

Congratulations to Andrijana Gredelj-Juras  for taking on the Intermediate VP position. One more position to be filled    Beginner VP   & we will have a full odbor.

 Sunday December 28, we need 4 more people.    There will be more Fundraising Bingos to come in the New Year.

ZELJKO PRACTICES

Will take place on Friday Oct 24 & Saturday Oct. 25th.  This is a Mandatory Practice.  Please make arrangements now, so you can attend.  Schedule:

Young Adults 6:45 - 10:00 p.m.

Saturday Oct. 25

Juniors 9:45 – 11:30 a.m.

Intermediates 11:45a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

CARRASSAUGA

Prelo has been invited to perform at Carrassauga. The performances will take place at the Mississauga Church Hall.

  Listed are the performance times for Saturday May 24th for the INTERMEDIATES and the Y.A.s:

INTERMEDIATES:  dance 8:00 and 9:00 p.m.

Y.A. TAMBURA:  9:00, 10:00, AND 11:00 P.M.

For parents or any other members, who wish to see the performances, please purchase a passport in advance from ANNE PUTICA.

Anyone who is not a performer and over the age of 12 requires a passport to enter the pavillions.  Passports cost $8.00 (in advance)  or $10:00 at the door. 

Intermediates please be at the performance for 7:00,  for a practice of your dance.

REGULAR PRACTICES

Regular practices have resumed for Beginners and Junior Dance groups  Someone will be performing at the church picnic on June 8th.  As of yet we do not know which group it will be.  We will keep you informed.

KISELI KUPUS

PARENTS MEETING

There will be a parent’s meeting on JUNE 1^st at 6:30 p.m.  We strongly urge all parents to attend.  We will be discussing various topics of interest.  Also a friendly reminder that Prelo’s weekly newsletter can be found on the website.  If you missed a newsletter you can always go to the website for any and all updates.

YEAR END PARTY

To mark the end of a fun and successful year we invite all Prelo members to the Year End Party.
